I'm just terribly opinionated, and I channel that into blogs and reviews. It helps me maintain friendships, working relationships, and allows my marriage to stay happy!

Product Reviews

If you or your company would like me to review a product I am generally happy to. Please email me at lyssalpeterson @ gmail.com to discuss it. In my reviews, I will always disclose where the product came from, and you can count on the review being scrupulously honest. If I dislike something about the product I will do so politely, but it will be truthful.

Please also note that I do have an apple allergy, so I will be unable to include teas which contain it.

For a current list of teas awaiting review, please visit my Queue page.

What might I be interested in reviewing here?

  • Teas, of course! I'm still rusty on greens, but herbals are blacks are good to go!
  • Teaware, like teapots, cups, gaiwan, etc.
  • Tea preparation materials, like infusers, kettles, etc.
  • Books and other media

Special Events: Battle of the Earl Greys

The same notes above will apply to any teas provided for the Battle of the Earl Greys. I have to be fair. Supplying a sample will not guarantee you a spot in the first round - it will be subject to the same evaluation and screening review as the teas I have procured through Steepster swaps or purchased on my own.

We will be using a single-elimination bracket, instead of a double, due to quantity restraints. If you do want to supply a sample, please note that the winning tea will need to make its way through four rounds, each in a 16oz cup, and will most likely occur on separate days. 8 cups worth would be optimal.

The line-up for the first elimination round will close mid-August, so if you would like to participate, please ensure all teas will arrive before then.

Special Events: The Pageant of Winter Teas

The same notes above in the Product Review section will apply to any teas provided for the Pageant of Winter Teas. The format of this project will be different than that of the Battle of the Earl Greys, so additional format information will be forthcoming.

If you do want to supply a sample, please note that the winning tea will need to make its way through three rounds, each in an 8oz cup (or a 16oz if there's enough of all teas), and will most likely occur on separate days. 3-6 servings worth would be optimal.

Unfortunately, I do have an apple allergy, so I will be unable to include teas which contain it.

I would like to begin this project before Thanksgiving, so if you would like to participate, please ensure all teas will arrive before then.

Thank you so much for your interest!
